Home-Day 65-August 4, 2021

Life returns to some sense of normalcy…

Dee has a new anti-seizure medication that she started tonight, lord I hope it turns the trick.

One of those things was more than enough for me thank you very much.

I am haunted by the event every time I close my eyes. I am having trouble sleeping and I worry so much about what the future will bring.

I may have to seek some help on this, not sure if we are in the realm of PTSD yet but it’s likely close…

There is NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, that will shake you to your very foundations quite like seeing a loved one in distress.

NOTHING…

I really hope we can get back to a day to day without too much worry and stress.

From a visual storytelling standpoint, I’m not sure what the future will bring. I have plans, plans with a end goal in mind, that have now all been put on a shelf. For the right reason, I need to be around my family, and more to the point, Dee has no license now for 6 months and I am going to have to be the transportation for the family.

I have no doubt I’ll still get out, but trips to St. Brendans, Change Islands, Grose Morne, the Port au Port, have all been folded up and tucked away for now.

Adapt we must…

I am lucky that I still have a ton of files from Twillingate to explore and edit… came up with this dramatic black and white last night. As I said, I consider what I do visual story telling more than just photography and images like this one, I believe, tell a tale…

This is as much about the mood I am in as much as it is about the image. I feel pretty dark, though I also feel there is light to be found and in the two there is a balance…

One last bit of news…

Calendars are here and the Calendar page has been updated….

ALL product, calendars, art cards, etc. will commence shipping next week. Stained Glass prints are shipping daily…

Thanks guys, you have all been an amazing support to me and my family and I very much appreciate it, we all do!
