Cory Babstock

Visual Storyteller | Photographer | Guide

Cory Babstock is a visual storyteller based in the scenic community of Shoal Harbour, Newfoundland. A graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Cory returned to photography in his late 40s after a series of life-changing events reignited his creative drive.

With a deep appreciation for rural Newfoundland and its rich heritage, Cory’s work focuses on exploring and documenting the province’s historic places and quiet beauty. Whether capturing dramatic coastlines, forgotten buildings, or the wildlife that calls this land home, he aims to tell the stories that often go unseen.

Armed with his drone and trusty Canon, Cory spends his time wandering Newfoundland’s backroads in search of the next story to share. He is also a tour guide with Newfoundland Photo Tours, where he leads groups of fellow explorers eager to experience and photograph the island’s hidden gems.
