Whew what a day..
Won’t be a heck of an lot of writing in this entry, lets be honest, you are all here for the photos anyway lol
You ever have one of those days that feels alot like there have been actually four days packed into one? Yeah, that’s the kind of day its been but in the most wonderful way imaginable.
I’m getting into my routine, up at 5ish, out to explore, spend the morning shooting and then back home for some afternoon edits. Head back out later in the day depending on lighting and explore some more, capture some more and then in the evening it’s edits and blogs.
Its a great routine.
So, this morning I headed out for a small hike, did the little trail to French Beach in Durrell. Beautiful little stone beach. It’s too bad that there aren’t any icebergs, a chunk of ice in the bay would have just set the scene off….

After that little trot I headed out of town to the Too Good Arm and Cobbs Arm areas…

I am never sure when I will discover photos that are “keepers”, by “keepers” I mean photo’s that have the fine art look, or feel, that I strive for and more infrequently, photos that will be of a caliber to be considered for inclusion into the Where Once We Stood book. These trips I take daily at this point are mostly scouting trips, the light isn’t great and its more intended to give me targeted locations and subjects to return to in better conditions. That being said, today I had a number of photos that are in the realm of “keepers”

And my absolute FAVORITE from the trip so far…

Saltwater Cathedrals ladies and gentlemen, Saltwater Cathedrals…
I went back out for a quick jaunt this afternoon in the company of Jordan Harnum ( brilliant musician btw, be sure to check him out at the Anchor Inn this summer!) and we lucked into a pair of humpbacks feeding offshore near Sleepy Cove and we followed them along to coast to the lighthouse… was a real treat to see them just doing their thing!
I wonder what tomorrow will bring? Besides bringing me to the DMV in Gander that is lol…
I do hope you are enjoying these blogs, if there is anything else you would like to see here please let me know!
Thanks for joining me on this journey!
Don’t forget, if you love the work, think about purchasing a piece or sponsoring a kilometer. I have lots of klicks to cover this summer, and your support was never more appreciated.
