Red Cliff-Day 77- August 16, 2021

I HAVE AN ETSY SHOP!!!

lol… putting that there first as there are many folks who just today said they didn’t know I HAD an Etsy shop. Not a heck of a lot in there right now, a selection of 10 signed 4×6 prints and my limited edition Stained Glass print but they are VERY nice little photos..

I’m also going to be selling them in Glovertown this weekend and the Artists Market being hosted by Diamond House Art Centre for member artists, and I am one lol

So, feeling a little better about things today, mainly because Dee is feeling a little better. I suffer when she suffers, empathy is both blessing and curse…

BUT, I am happy today was a little better for her.

So much so that I actually went out tonight and took some photos. I’ll have more to share tomorrow but for now here are two that I enjoyed…

In this first one, taken at Red Cliff, I enjoy the color and texture of the grass gone to seed in the foreground. I intentionally darkened the immediate foreground to isolate the grass and to give a sense of mystery, almost danger, of what lurks in the shadows lol… yes yes…. very strange young man…

This second one is another I would consider a self-portrait of sorts. If you’ve been following the blog it should come as no surprise that I have been struggling lately, almost a sense of impending doom. I have felt, quite literally, at the end of my rope… which is what you see here….

Also taken in Red Cliff…

I particularly like this one…. I was told by a person on social media that what they like about my work was the ability I had to “…. take the every day and make it extraordinary” ….

Perhaps the highest praise I have EVER received and something I strive to achieve with every shot…

Also, in relation to the first shot with the grass, someone on Twitter commented “That’s very cool. I wouldn’t have thought that such a picture would turn out. More like what your brain sees than what a camera does.”

I though that statement was pretty awesome as well.

So hey! You know you want to own my genesis NFT right???

One day left to bid on this piece folks!

Oh, one last thing, folks have been posting that they have received their calendars and that they love them…

Thank you, thank you so much, that little bit of positivity is very welcome right now and I am so happy that you are happy… thrilled even…

Until tomorrow.

Thanks for joining me on this journey!

Don’t forget, if you love the work, think about purchasing a piece or buying a coffee I have lots of klicks to cover this summer, and your support was never more appreciated.
