Hug the folks you love..
Hug them and tell them you love them…
Tonight, our little family has a terrifying brush with the scariest of circumstances…
My beautiful wife suffered a seizure and in front of my eye I watched her apparently stop breathing.
We were told later that it was unlikely she had actually stopped, that she had shallow breathing and may have aspirated during the seizure. I knew none of that at the time, I only knew it looked as if she stopped breathing and in that instant my brain kind of froze over.
All I could think of was helping her and I administered CPR until I knew she was breathing again.
She is better now, well, she is home for the night. We return to the hospital in the morning for more tests…
This is a life altering event, of that there is no doubt.
She has already been informed that is in unlikely to have her drivers licence for a period of no less than 6 months seizure free.
The means that even when she is cleared to return to work she will be unable to drive.
It also means that I am putting ALL trips for photography on hold for the foreseeable future.
While this is going to result ion some financial hardship all the way around, it is completely irrelevant in the larger scope of things.
Whats important is her health and our families protection.
I want to thank you all for the outpouring of love and support. Its very much appreciated from us both.
We will get through this, and as always, we will be through this stronger than ever.
Thanks again.
And once again, hug your loved ones….
