I am the rain maker!!
Not once, but TWICE I left my place today for photos, it was dry when I left, no rain in the sky…. AND then…. it opens up like a faucet…
TWICE!
My hikers are SOAKED, lucky I brought two pairs, though I really prefer the soaking ones lol
So, car goes in tomorrow guys. Fingers crossed that its a good, cheap and quick fix. Operationally the car is fine, no drift, brakes work, starts fine, handles fine etc etc. Its just that sound man, it gives me both the heebies and the jeebies…
I don’t know if it’ll be fixed tomorrow or now, but I should have a diagnosis and a price…

Look folks, I’m trying not to promote my sales much while I am out here. I am being retained as an Artist in Residence to promote the area, create art and interact with the general public here. So far its been going very very well and I don’t want to detract from that amazing work. Lots of time for promotion when the work is done lol… the experience and the personal artistic and mental enrichment I have received since my arrival here is simply amazing… there is no price on this experience….
I am SO glad I took the chance to apply for this… I am SO glad that the fine folks here took a chance on a 50 year old guy trying to start over after a couple of hard hard years…
Yeah, its been special.
That being said, if the car costs run high, I may have to do a little bit of a drive for the shop so I can get back on the road. I don’t know if I am going to be in need or not, we will all know tomorrow, but I’m not feeling optimistic about this one folks…
NOW, if the car IS fixed in short order I am going to be travelling to Change Islands very quickly lol…. I look forward to getting out there. Something tells me that I will not be satisfied with a one night stay and will have to put Change Islands on my return list for the fall. I think, if things are going well and its affordable to do so, I would like to do a one week Change Islands/Fogo Island trip… something to think about….
Oh, in other news, second dose is being administered to this fella on Wed… pretty excited…

It was WET man, but I did get out for a few shots. I also scouted a couple of potential locations for sunset shots when the rain goes away lol…
