Twillingate-Day 24-June 24, 2021

As well be the norm moving forward we start with a video blog!

Ok, so before I forget. The gentleman who has spent many many years cataloguing and mapping the root cellars in the Twillingate area is Troy Mitchell. A link to a VOCM article on him can be found here, and you can visit his Facebook group for more information as well as a link to the map!

As I said, not a lot of new photos today, though I did get a few, including, not without some irony, a root cellar….

But honestly, the absolute treasure I found this day was this weathered toy boat, made the slog to the top worthwhile.

Just precious, and its been a pleasure seeing folks react to this one, talking about fond childhood memories of their own.

I do hope you are enjoying these blogs, if there is anything else you would like to see here please let me know!

Thanks for joining me on this journey!

Don’t forget, if you love the work, think about purchasing a piece or purchasing a coffee. I have lots of klicks to cover this summer, and your support was never more appreciated.
