A shorter blog today, at least, that’s the intention.
Some news!
The Covid-19 Alert Level has been reduced to level 2 in the Twillingate region so off I go! Leaving here on Saturday morning, and in a happy chain of events, the other artist who was delayed in getting going in Twillingate, Jordan Harnum, will be joining me for the trip.
Jordan will be performing at the Anchor Inn in Twillingate this summer, if you are in the area be sure to check him out, I know I will be.
These few days between now and Saturday are going to be a whirlwind of activity. I have my two teens getting their Jabs this week, that makes all of us in the family with at least one shot which is AMAZING. I spent this morning doing a deep clean on my camera gear, checking all my cables, my chargers and other equipment. Packed up memory card case, charging all my batteries and mobile power packs. Doing laundry and creating lists of things to NOT FORGET when I leave!
The biggest item yet to be taken care of is my car. Its been getting some TLC from a good friend in St. John’s but will be ready for the road tomorrow. My wonderful wife and I will drive to St. John’s when she gets of work at 5, so a long day awaits to be sure.
I have to get to Glovertown somewhere in there as well. My Uncle and his good friend tragically drowned on Monday evening. Its been a real shocker, a tragedy. I have to go out and see the folks at some point as well.
Friday is packing day. Going to put everything I can in the car so I can get on the road ASAP on Saturday and, all things being equal, I will be posting my FIRST sunset shot from Twillingate in my blog late Saturday evening.
Exciting times!
The feature image for this blog is what I am leaving behind for these 2 months, my wonderful wife and children, and my best buddy Dexter. Sacrifices are hard, but they need to be made. This opportunity is just way to big!
Don’t forget, if you love the work, think about purchasing a piece or sponsoring a kilometer. I have lots of klicks to cover this summer, and your support was never more appreciated.
All the very best
Cory
